Talizmyn’s April Art Update
We’re at of the end of April in the year that has been a thousand-year blink. It is a vast expanse of time that has vanished between breaths. I see the work I have done over the last few mont…
Art and Updates for April 2020
April 2020's Art Update ✨
Didn't think I would miss the April art update, did you? Certainly not me. I knew exactly what day it was today. 😎
Turns out I completed more artwork than I thought this month, though there's a fair bit on-the-go as well. Check out the blog for this month's accomplishments, details on what's to come, and supporter downloads on Ko-fi! 😁❤️
A commission for my mother-in-law of her irises, part 1 and 2.
I enjoyed the process of this one and learned far more about these kinds of flowers than I ever thought I would. It was a welcome challenge to get them just right.
Image created fully in Adobe Fresco and making use of the live Watercolour Brush for some interesting effects!
The full quote between both images is: "Let us make our future now, and let us make our dreams tomorrow's reality." -Malala Yousafzai
New Tablet and Ko-fi Goal
Two weeks ago, during the One Week Portrait Challenge, I wrote about how my tablet broke on Wednesday: midway through the challenge. When that happened, after I spent a bit of time panicking, my hu…
With a new tablet I now have so many more opportunities available to me, that were closed off with my old tablet. The Android system was limiting in a way my new Microsoft Surface is not. I'm excited to create with it, and have access to programs previously beyond my reach.
One such program is Clip Studio Paint, which is available on Windows or Mac OS. I have updated my Ko-fi goal to reflect that I'm now saving up for the Ex version, which will give me full access to the program and all of its features.
Along with fueling my iced tea addiction, all support through Ko-fi now goes toward the new goal. 😁
Check out the blog for more details.

One Week Portrait: Day Four
Here's my work for day four.
I was supposed to have the blending done yesterday, and focus on details today. Instead, I have aimed to do both things to try and catch up. I managed to get my files off of my tablet and onto the PC, and combine multiple files to recover some of my work.
Blending with a mouse makes me really, really, really miss the tablet. This is about all I, and my wrist, feel up to today. I'll be looking for more tricks to mimic the look of using a pen, but also try to find some tricks to help it be easier for me to work with.
I can't believe I used to draw with a mouse in Photoshop all the time.
It's harder than I recall!
Talizmyn’s March Art Update
March has certainly been a trial in productivity and I have been trying not to drown in the waves of anxiety. I’ve been trying to keep the depression at bay, but in the last few days I finall…
Art and Updates
Hey! It's the end of the month, so it's time for my March 2020 Art Update.
This month started out slow, and has been something of a mess overall, but I've managed to keep creating and working on personal projects.
I'm trying to remain optimistic about April as I continue to create, write, and search for a job. Wish me luck!
... And maybe check out the blog, too? ;)
